The University of Macau (UM) today (14 September) held a talk titled ‘Viewing Medical Imaging in Multiple Angles – From X-ray to AI’ as the 13th talk of the UM Scholar Research Forum. Greta Mok, professor in the Faculty of Science and Technology, was the speaker. The talk attracted a full house of UM students and faculty members, as well as students and teachers from local secondary schools who joined the event online. During the talk, Prof Mok discussed the origins and latest developments in medical imaging and presented common clinical medical imaging modalities, including X-ray radiography, computed tomography, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine. She also talked about the latest developments in artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the field of medical imaging, and the application of medical imaging in Macao.
