Chinese Academy of Sciences member Zhang Bo speaks highly of UM’s development

A delegation led by Zhang Bo, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, who is also the founding and honorary dean of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence at Tsinghua University, recently visited the University of Macau (UM) and was warmly received by UM Rector Yonghua Song. During their visit to the UM Gallery, Song told the guests about UM’s development history, research layout, campus facilities, and development direction. Members of the delegation also visited UM’s State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City, State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI, and Centre for Cognitive and Brain Sciences. They spoke highly of the research achievements attained by UM in recent years, especially those in the areas of artificial intelligence and robotics, and expressed hope that the university would continue to contribute to technological development in China.

中國科學院院士、清華大學人工智能研究院創建兼名譽院長張鈸率團訪問澳門大學，了解澳大的辦學成果及發展現狀，獲澳大校長宋永華熱情接待。

代表團首先參觀大學展館。宋永華向代表團介紹澳大的歷史沿革、科研佈局、校園建設和發展方向，並表示澳大秉持“立足澳門、共建灣區、融入國家、走向世界”的理念，不斷完善人才培養和研究創新體系。

其後，代表團參觀了澳大智慧城市物聯網國家重點實驗室、模擬與混合信號超大規模集成電路國家重點實驗室以及認知與腦科學研究中心。張鈸一行高度評價澳大近年取得的成績，充分肯定澳大在人工智能及機器人領域的研究成果，期待澳大對中國科技發展作出進一步的貢獻。

代表團成員還有湖南瑞森可機器人科技有限公司董事長楊新明和執行總裁楊帥，南京清湛人工智能研究院有限公司執行副院長楊磊，清華大學網絡行為研究所副所長兼清湛人工智能研究院有限公司副院長張淮。澳大科技學院院長兼協同創新研究院代院長須成忠、模擬與混合信號超大規模集成電路國家重點實驗室主任麥沛然、研究服務及知識轉移辦公室代主任王春明、認知與腦科學研究中心主任袁振、人工智能與機器人研究中心主任沈建冰、智慧城市物聯網國家重點實驗室副教授楊丁奇和孔慧、科技學院助理教授鍾俊文亦參與了接待。
