A delegation from the China Association for Science and Technology, led by its party secretary Zhang Yuzhuo, today (3 December) visited the University of Macau (UM) and was warmly received by Rector Yonghua Song. During the delegation’s visit to the University Gallery, Rector Song told the guests about UM’s historical milestones, academic structure, campus facilities, development direction, and progress in scientific research. Members of the delegation took a ride on the autonomous bus developed by UM and then visited various facilities at UM, including the Centre for Cognitive and Brain Sciences, the Macao Base for Primary & Secondary STEM Education, and the university’s three state key laboratories, namely the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI (AMS-VLSI), the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine (SKL-QRCM), and the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (SKL-IOTSC). Zhang praised UM for its achievements in research development and science popularisation, adding that the association would continue to support UM with its resources.
