Delegation from Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Oceanography visits UM to promote collaboration

Wang Fan, director of the Institute of Oceanography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, led a delegation to visit the University of Macau (UM). The delegation was warmly received by UM Rector Yonghua Song and representatives from the university’s Centre for Regional Oceans. Both parties discussed the development of the Joint Laboratory of Ocean Environment and Engineering established under an agreement signed in 2020. They also had in-depth discussions on expanding the collaboration between two institutions to other areas, so as to fully utilise the research advantages of both sides and contribute to the innovation of marine technology in the Greater Bay Area.
