Macau Institute of Engineers Visits UM

A delegation led by Wu Chou Kit, chairman of the Macau Institute of Engineers and member of the Legislative Assembly, recently visited the University of Macau (UM) to learn more the latest development in academic research and industry-university-research aspects. Rector Yonghua Song and Vice Rector Ge Wei warmly received the delegation. During the visit, Song expressed that UM would continue to serve the construction and development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. Members of the delegation praised UM’s achievement in research and popular science work. In addition, they hoped UM would continue to play an active role in integrating Macao into the national development. They visited UM’s State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City, State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI and Macao Base for Primary and Secondary STEM Education.

澳門工程師學會會長兼立法會議員胡祖杰率團參訪澳門大學，獲校長宋永華、副校長葛偉的熱情接待。訪問團深入了解大學的最新發展、科研成果及產學研合作，並對澳大近年在科研創新及科普方面取得的成就給予高度讚賞，期待澳大在粵港澳大灣區及橫琴粵澳深度合作區未來建設中發揮積極作用。

訪問團一行先後參觀了澳大智慧城市物聯網國家重點實驗室、模擬與混合信號超大規模集成電路國家重點實驗室及澳門中小學生科技實踐基地。期間，宋永華表示在社會各界的支持下，澳大近年來取得一系列成果，未來將繼續回饋社會，積極融入國家發展大局，服務粵港澳大灣區及橫琴粵澳深度合作區的建設。同時，澳大將不斷提高科研創新和成果轉化能力，繼續強化科學普及工作，提升澳門青年學生的科學素養，培養和輸送更多優秀科研人才，促進澳門產業多元化發展。

訪問團成員還有澳門工程師學會理事長兼澳門交通諮詢委員會委員蕭志泳、常務理事兼青年事務部總監李華超、青年事務部部委林嘉愉、澳門大學學生分部會長劉昭朗等。澳大模擬與混合信號超大規模集成電路國家重點實驗室代主任麥沛然、智慧城市物聯網國家重點實驗室助理主任馬少丹、校長辦公室主任汪淇、研究服務及知識轉移辦公室代主任王春明和科技學院科學暨工程科普推廣中心主任譚錦榮亦參與了接待。
